Prague – In the 19th round of the first league, the players of Slavia defeated the newcomers from Brno 2:0. Prague leads the incomplete table by four points ahead of defending champions Pilsen, who host České Budějovice on Sunday. Second-to-last Zlín beat Teplice 2:1 and won for the first time in the top competition under coach Pavel Vrba. Slovácko won 1:0 in Liberec with a set goal and moved to fourth place. Jablonec won a surprising 2:1 against Ostrava.

Slavia's eighth league triumph in a row was arranged by substitute players in the second half. The Brazilian Ewerton first opened the scoring in the 58th minute with a free kick and in the end set up the second goal for Mick van Buren. With the 11th goal of the season in the top competition, the Dutch striker equaled the best gunner Jakub Řezníček from Brno, who did not succeed in Eden. Zbrojovka did not win the sixth round in a row, of which they lost the fifth, and remained eleventh.
Zlín started its third win in the league season already in the opening 20 minutes, when winter Slovak reinforcement Filip Balaj and Martin Fillo scored from the penalty spot. Substitute Tadeáš Vachoušek reduced the game for the visitors after an hour with a premiership goal in the top competition. “Shoemakers” won after two draws in the spring, Teplice lost for the third time this year. Zlín is still fifteenth in the table, the North Bohemians gained two more points and are in 13th position.
Substitute Ondřej Mihálik only decided the match in Liberec in the second minute. The visitors from Uherské Hradiště had previously been stopped several times by goalkeeper Filip Nguyen, who worked for the home team. Even in the third match of the spring season, Slovácko scored points and did not concede. Slovan lost for the first time in the second half of the season and is eighth in the table.
Jablonec took the lead in the 29th minute with an own goal by Jiří Klím after a shot by Tomáš Hübschman. In the 83rd minute, Václav Sejk added insurance for the guests, and in the set-up, the Serbian Srdjan Plavšič only reduced it with an exhibition shot. The North Bohemians won for the first time after four rounds and moved to 12th place, Baník remained ninth after their first spring defeat.
On Sunday, in addition to Pilsen's match with Budějovice, there are three more matches of the 19th round on the program. Bohemians 1905 will welcome Sparta in a small Prague derby, Olomouc will challenge Hradec Králové and Mladá Boleslav will face Pardubice.
