John Rankin Waddell was one of 10 photographers to having had the honor of photographing Elizabeth II during the Jubilee; d’or which was held in 2002. A moment of great intensity. which he remembers like it was yesterday, and for good reason.
“I had never felt such an aura. She was so funny, from the minute she she came in,” the photographer at the microphone of the podcast Tea with Twiggy.
As he felt at comfortable, John Rankin thought he could ask the sovereign a cliche; unconventional. And rather than conduct the photographer with severity, the queen preferred to pirouette which he still relishes.
Brilliant
“ you are holding a sword. And she said, “I don’t like my hands.” I thought that was the best way to put me off,”” said John Rankin Waddell.
“I probably shouldn’t say ç ;a, but what I loved about her was the fact that she was so smart and that everything she said always had an incredible twist. It”s just really brilliant.”
While John Rankin Waddell had stars like Kate Moss, Madonna and David Bowie in front of his lens, none of them did. marked as did Elizabeth II!
