Valašské Meziříčí (Vsetínsko) – Two women and one man died violently in an apartment in Valašské Meziříčí in Vsetínsko. According to the findings of the police, who have been investigating the case since Tuesday afternoon, it involved a fifty-seven-year-old mother with a twenty-five-year-old daughter, as well as a sixty-year-old father, the younger of the women. Criminal investigators preliminarily qualified the case as multiple murder and suicide. Regional police spokeswoman Simona Kyšnerová stated this in a press release today.

According to the police, it is a family tragedy. “Criminal investigators examined the crime scene until the early hours of the morning. The medical examiner was also on the scene. We are now waiting for the results of the forensic autopsy and are continuing to carry out criminal proceedings,” said Kyšnerová.
Two multiple murders also took place in Vsetínsk last year . On April 24, a thirty-one-year-old man killed his wife and their three young children under the age of five in the family home in Loučka. Then, according to the police, he cut himself with a knife and finally caused the house to explode. The accused man faces 15 to 20 years in prison, or exceptional punishment. The triple murder took place on August 3 in the family home in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, where a forty-nine-year-old man shot his partner, their two children of preschool age and then himself. The police postponed the case due to the death of the perpetrator.
According to police statistics, there were 150 murders in the Czech Republic last year, 45 more than the year before. Almost half of last year's murders remained in the attempted stage, most of the killers were motivated by personal disputes between relatives or partners.
