Thomas Jefferson Byrd was shot and killed in Atlanta
Actor Thomas Jefferson Byrd was killed by several shots this Saturday in Atlanta , according to what was confirmed by the Police Department of that city in the United States.
Emergency medical services, meanwhile, identified Byrd and pronounced him dead from multiple gunshot wounds to the back.
Thomas Jefferson Byrd had appearances in numerous films by director Spike Lee
The authorities are in full investigation to determine the circumstances in which the actor was killed.
Craig Wyckoff, a friend and former representative of Byrd, told local Fox News that some friends told him that the actor had an argument in a store before returning home.
The person Byrd argued with – according to Wyckoff's account – followed the actor home and shot him three times in the back.
Byrd, one of Spike Lee's favorite actors, appeared in several of the renowned director's films: “Clockers”, “Get on the Bus”, “Bamboozled”, “Chi-Raq”, “Red Hook Summer”, “Girl 6 “and” Da Sweet Blood of Jesus. “ He also had roles in Antoine Fuqua's “Best of Brooklyn”; the Jamie Foxx biopic “Ray Charles” and “Set It Off” by F.
