Bakuriani (Georgia) – Unexpectedly soon, snowboard crossers, including Czech hope Eva Adamczyková, will go into action at the world championship in Bakuriani, Georgia. Due to the unfavorable weather forecast, the organizers have changed the program and instead of Thursday's qualification and Friday's race, everything will take place on Wednesday. The qualification has been cancelled, the elimination races will go straight ahead.

It is placed in those according to FIS points. “That doesn't play into our favor. Our two best drivers, Eva Adamczyková and Radek Houser, have few points due to injuries, so they will ride with higher-ranked competitors in the heats than they would if they were seeded,” the coach of the Czech team pointed out on Facebook Marek Jelínek.
The snowboard crossers completed their training today. Forty-eight men, including the Czech quartet Jakub Žerava, Kryštof Choura, Jan Kubičík and Radek Houser, will start at 7:30 a.m. CET, while the women's round of 16 with defending bronze medalist Adamczyková and Vendula Hopjáková will start at eight o'clock in the morning CET. “We are trying to regenerate and adapt to these changes as much as possible,” said Adamczyková, who was chosen by the organizers to test the track.
She seemed strange to her. “It drives slowly in some places, faster in others, it changes a lot, but I quite enjoy it and I drive it well. I drove it well, I went on two practice runs with three girls, so I tried driving in four, I feel good. The track is long and there are a lot of bumps here, albeit small, but enough, we are all tired at the bottom,” she described.
An advanced race means complications for the service. “He doesn't have enough time to test the waxes on his skis and the glides of our boards. It's significantly more complicated for them than if it were a classic program,” said Jelínek. Adamczyk amused him with her observation. “Evka noted that the crisis day on the hill is usually the third, we're already going on the second day, so she won't have time to get sick and won't be tired. I don't think it will play a role, but it's a good remark,” he smiled.
A snowboardcross team race should take place in Bakuriani on Saturday. For now, it remains in the program in its original place. The weather in the Georgian resort complicated the situation for ski crossers as well. Their race was postponed from Saturday to Sunday due to strong winds at the end of last week.
