Teplice – Following the dismissal of coach Jiří Jarošík on Saturday, the Teplice football team will be led by the current head coach of the club's academy, Zdenko Frťala. The fourteenth team of the first league reported about it on its website. Club spokesman Martin Kovařík, when asked by ČTK, stated that the former long-time player of North Bohemia signed a contract for an indefinite period.
Teplice have not won seven rounds and suffered five defeats out of six matches in the spring part of the top competition. They surprisingly scored the only point for a 1:1 home draw with leaders Slavia. After that, however, Jarošík's team lost 1:4 both in Jablonec and Sparta. Immediately after the match at Prague's Letná, the club's management recalled the former Czech representative. He has led the team since September 2021.
The “Skláři” are now in the first playoff position. Last season, they retained their first league membership after a successfully managed tie with Vlaším.
