Los Angeles – The worst film of the year and the film with the worst script, according to the organizers of the American film festival Golden Raspberry, became a film produced by Netflix called Blonde inspired by the life of Marilyn Monroe. After two Golden Raspberries, the horror film Morbius and the biographical film Elvis were also awarded, CNN reported.
The award for worst actor was won by Jared Leto for his role as a vampiric anti-hero in the movie Morbius, for which actress Adria Arjona was also awarded in the category of worst supporting actress. According to the Golden Raspberry Awards Foundation, Tom Hanks became the worst actor in a supporting role for his portrayal of music manager Tom Parker in the movie Elvis. Hanks also received a Golden Raspberry for this film in the category of worst joint combination, together with his latex face mask and “ridiculous” accent.
Golden raspberries are awarded the day before the American film awards Oscar, for which the film Elvis eight nominations, including the best film category.
The awards for the worst films and acting performances are awarded annually by the Golden Raspberry Awards organization, which has just over 1,000 members and chooses the winner from the nominees online. The idea of awarding these anti-awards came in 1980 from the California columnist and film fan John Wilson.
The awards are given for the worst film mistakes of the year, but this year the organizers did one themselves, according to the Hollywood Reporter magazine. In the category of the worst actress of the year, only 12-year-old Ryan nominated Kiera Armstrong. After criticism on social networks, the name of the underage girl was deleted, replaced with their own, and in the end they received the award in this category.
