Seattle (USA) – American aircraft manufacturer Boeing has again suspended deliveries of 787 Dreamliner aircraft to the market. The reason is additional tests of a part of the fuselage. This was reported by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on Thursday. According to him, the company will not resume supplies until the authority issues a favorable opinion. The Wall Street Journal previously reported on the matter.

Boeing said it discovered the bug last week. “We discovered an error in our supplier's analysis of the 787 forward pressure bulkhead. We have notified the FAA and suspended 787 deliveries while we complete the required analysis and documentation,” the company said. “There are no immediate concerns about the operational safety of the fleet,” the company said. “Although short-term deliveries will be affected, we do not expect to change our production and delivery outlook for this year at this time,” she added.

The Dreamliner is one of Boeing's most important aircraft models. He has repeatedly caused problems in recent years. Due to various manufacturing defects, the aircraft was not allowed to be handed over to customers from May 2021 to August 2022. When it was last reregistered, the FAA announced that in the future it would inspect each 787 individually before certifying its airworthiness.

The news unnerved investors. The shares of the European competitor Airbus weakened by almost three percent after the close of trading on Thursday.
