2022 is expected to represent an important year of rebirth for Alfa Romeo, with the Italian brand that will launch its second SUV, Tonale, on the market and will begin planning that will expand the range of the Arese-based carmaker. Confirming the growth of the Biscione line up was the CEO of the brand, Jean Philippe Learned, which in the course of an interview anticipated part of Alfa Romeo’s plans for the next few years. “We will start with one launch per year, which should lead us to a range of five models by 2025. Each year I will publicly announce our product agenda for the following year and we will stick to it.”

Statements that will please alfisti, those issued by the number one of the Biscione to the French newspaper The Tribune and that lay the groundwork for the arrival of two more models within the next 3 years. Among the 5 mentioned by the French manager there are almost certainly the restylings of Giulia and Stelvio and the aforementioned Alfa Romeo Tonale: the next car could be the Alfa Romeo Palade (or Brennero) which will be built at the Tychy plant in Poland, on the shared CMP platform that the brand will use by virtue of the synergies in place within the Stellantis group. Now it is difficult to hypothesize which will be the fifth model in the range of the Arese car manufacturer, even if it is easy to think that with a large SUV, a sedan and two other high models, respectively in the C and B segments, the brand can move towards the return of a great name to give Alfa Romeo the much-discussed flagship once again.

On the other hand, however, there are the same statements by Imparato that seem to orient the choice of the Biscione towards another option, that of a compact. In fact, there is on the program a closer synergy with premium brands of Stellantis, namely DS and Lancia: from here a new Giulietta could arrive which will be declined by the different brands with their own design characteristics but which will share the platform and technologies with its sisters.
