Among the kayakers, the second Olympic champion and last year's SP winner Jiří Prskavec finished, whose international canoe premiere awaits in Germany. Vít Přindiš, who just became world champion last year in Augsburg, was sixth and debutant among seniors Jakub Krejčí fourteenth.
In the women's category, sixth Antonie Galušková and eleventh Amálie Hilgertová made it to the top twenty. The first race did not go well for the third female kayaker in last year's series, Fišerová, who missed one of the gates and was disqualified. In the remedial race, the Czech Olympian secured seventh place.
The World Cup has changed its usual program this year, the first finals will be on the program already on Friday, when the qualification has been held so far. On Saturday, canoeists will fight for medals, and Sunday will be completely reserved for the new Olympic discipline of kayakcross.
