Planica (Slovenia) – German Katharina Althaus became the world champion in the intermediate bridge in Planica. She added the gold to the silver from the championship four years ago and became the second German to win the title after Carina Vogtová, who dominated in 2015 and 2017. Karolína Indráčková finished the highest from the Czech Republic today in 32nd place.

Twenty-six-year-old Althaus was attacking for the title from second place after the first round, after which she lost less than five points to Norwegian Anna Odine Strömová. She did not repeat the 100-meter jump and fell to the bronze bar. She was also overtaken by the Austrian Eva Pinkelnigová, the leading woman of the World Cup. Alhausová won with a gain of 249.1 points for jumps of 98.5 and 97 meters.
Klára Ulrichová finished three places lower behind the thirty-second Karolína Indráčková, followed by Anežka Indráčková. The best of the Czechs performed 85 meters in the first round and received 95 points.
