The three interiors of the zoo are still closed.

High Island tropical houses are open again. Houses called Amazonia and Africasia were closed to visitors for more than six months.

The interest rate restrictions have been relaxed to such an extent that the restriction on the number of visitors to Korkeasaari and thus the advance booking of the visit has been removed. Although the restrictions have been lifted, there are still many ways to ensure the safety of visitors, the zoo says in a statement.

“It is important to us that visitors to Korkeasaari feel safe here and we do our best for it. Taking care of safety is also a common thing for everyone, ”Korkeasaari’s Marketing Director Susanna Silvonen says.

“We hope that the infection situation will remain good enough for us to keep all services open. If the situation so requires, we will impose restrictions in accordance with the instructions of the authorities. ”

In addition to tropical houses, the interior of Monkey Castle, which is also available for watching Berber monkeys, is open.

The three interiors of the zoo are still closed. The Twilight House will open when the new terrarium is completed and the Borealia House will open when the marsh chicks have hatched.

The hen is considered closed for the time being, as chickens are particularly sensitive to avian influenza, which has been observed in wild birds in Finland.

All indoor cooking facilities are also open.
