The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) reports having arrested a teenager on Thursday for the assault on a jogger, which occurred on May 14 at the Recreational Forest in Val-d'Or.
The suspect was questioned by SQ investigators and appeared Friday morning at the Val-d& #x27;Or on various counts including assault and strangulation.
The identity of the accused cannot be revealed, since it is a minor.
The Sûreté du Québec reminds that the assistance centers for victims of criminal acts ( CAVAC) are present in all regions of Quebec, with some 185 entry points that provide access to professional staff trained in intervention.
