Vrabcová Nývltová took part in the Winter Games in Turin 2006, Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014, where she achieved the best result with fifth place in the 30 kilometer race. Seven years ago, she finished twenty-sixth in the marathon at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, and in 2018 she won bronze in the same discipline at the European Championships, where she set the Czech record with a time of 2:26:31.
“There are many things that I will remember. When I declared as a child while watching the games in 1992 that I would also go to the Olympics, I did not think that I would succeed more than once. Although it took an awful lot of effort, I am sure degree of ruined health and I wasn't at the prom, so all those experiences were worth it,” said Vrabcová Nývltová.
The highlights of her skiing career were the Olympics in Sochi, participation in the Tour de Ski or the World Championships in Falun. “But I remember the athletic part the most, whether it's the debut at the Prague Marathon, the half marathon, the marathon in New York or the Czech record at the European Championships. I could name a lot of those experiences from athletics, and most of them were thanks to RunCzech,” said Vrabcová Nývltová
After the birth of her daughter Adéla in April 2020, she also qualified for the previous year's Olympics in Tokyo. However, she did not finish the marathon there due to problems with her right hip and thigh muscle. Health problems with the hips were also one of the reasons for ending his career.
“There were a lot of things. Whether it was health, relationships that weren't ideal in the fall. Then came an offer from Carl (Capalbo, head of RunCzech, organizer of the Prague Marathon), which I appreciate very much. I think I left at the right moment,” she noted Vrabcová Nývltová, who ended up at the Olymp sports center of the Ministry of the Interior in the fall
“I still have the opportunity to train and send a training plan to those who are registered for the Prague Marathon. If anyone is interested, I go to train with them once a week to Stromovka,” she recounted.
She thanked everyone who helped her during her sports career. She especially singled out her family with her husband Martin and daughter Adélka. “There are so many people, and if I were to name them all, we would be here for a long time,” she said, not even holding back tears.
Now she would like to help the runners in the RunCzech Racing Team. It features, for example, Jiří Homoláč, Patrik Vebr, Damián Vích, Martin Zajíc or Julia Anna Lilly Bell. “Hopefully my sheep will do well and my future will be bright with them. I would like them to improve and give them a good service. If I can help anyone to get to where I am or even further, please let me know it will be fulfilling,” added Vrabcová Nývltová.
