An attempted trap was registered this afternoon in Chiguayante, Bío Bío region. The event began in the Villuco sector and ended in Pedro de Valdivia in Concepción.
This led to a police pursuit that ended with six people arrested. This happened because the vehicle fled in the direction of Concepción and collided by range.
The foregoing generated great traffic congestion because the entire waterfront to enter Chiguayante was cut off due to the police procedure.
Major Ricardo Molina, commissioner of the Seventh Chiguayante Police Station, explained that The six criminals were traveling in a vehicle that was stolen at 7:00 p.m. in Concepción, where they intimidated the owner of the car, apparently with firearms.
Of the total of the subjects, two were foreigners. Of the four Chileans, three of them had criminal records for robbery.
Carabineros went to the community health facility to verify the injuries of the detainees, but there are no injured people.
