The president can bring the necessary attention to the regions and help bring solutions for the citizens there, Bartoš told journalists after the meeting with Pavlo. The president-elect is planning to visit the Karlovy Vary Region this week. Bartoš told journalists that he also spoke with Pavle about digitalization issues.

“We discussed how to invest resources and improve the quality of life in all areas (of these regions),” said Bartoš. According to him, the Czech Republic made a mistake in the past when it focused exclusively on solving the problems of industry in structurally weaker regions and neglected the quality of the daily life of its inhabitants. them and about solving their problems. “I think this is an important symbol that those regions should not be stigmatized. They should have attention, the topics need to be raised, and the role of the president is important there,” said the minister.
According to him, he is also planning trips to the regions government, but joint visits with Pavlo are currently not planned. Nevertheless, Bartoš pointed out that the trips of the cabinet and the president should be coordinated so that all top representatives of the state do not change in a short time in one region.
At today's meeting, Bartoš also spoke with Pavel about digitization and cyber security. According to the minister, the head of state can play an important role in negotiations on cooperation in cyber defense between democratic states.
