David took eighth place in the World Cup and it was in the sprint that she achieved her best result this season: she won silver in Hochfilzen at the beginning of December. “I would be satisfied if I could run and shoot well. The shooting range here is also very unpredictable because of the wind. Sometimes it blows more, sometimes less. We'll see,” she said.

Two years ago at the World Championships in Pokljuka in the Czech Republic the sprint did not work out for the biathletes, the best of them, Davidová, was only in 44th place. The then winner Tiril Eckhoff from Norway will not start in Oberhof due to health problems.
