Prague – In the quarter-finals of the domestic cup, Slavia's players fulfilled the role of big favorite and outclassed second-division Vyškov 4:0. Another Prague team and previous finalist Sparta in Liberec won 5:3 on penalties after a 2:2 result. Slovácko lost 1:2 to Bohemians 1905 and will not defend last year's triumph. České Budějovice also advanced to the semifinals of the MOL Cup thanks to a 2:1 win over league newcomers from Brno. The next round of the cup will be drawn on March 10.

The Slavists in Eden had no problem with Vyškov. The leaders of the top competition decided in the opening 22 minutes, when Ondřej Lingr, Václav Jurečka and Matěj Jurásek scored. After changing sides, Jurečka scored for the second time. The people of Prague will play the semi-finals after a one-year hiatus. Slavia took advantage of the favorable draw and knocked out the third second division team in this cup season.
Liberec led over Sparta from the fourth minute thanks to Imad Rondič, substitute Jan Kuchta turned the score around between the 76th and 81st minutes. The North Bohemians equalized in the setup thanks to another substitute, Michael Rabušic. Lukáš Červ from Liberec was the only one not to succeed in the penalty shootout, while all five Spartans made no mistakes. Kuchta converted the last penalty. The people of Prague advanced to the top four of the MOL Cup for the fifth time in a row.
Bohemians started to triumph in Uherské Hradiště already in the first half, when Aleš Čermák and Lukáš Hůlka made their mark. Slovácko reduced the deficit only in the set time thanks to Stanislav Hofmann. The “kangaroos” made it to the top four teams in the cup after four years and for the second time in their separate history.
České Budějovice advanced to the cup semi-finals after 16 years. Tomáš Zajíc scored both goals for the home team in the first half. After the change of sides, the league's top scorer Jakub Řezníček and midfielder Michal Ševčík also joined Brno. However, the guests only mitigated the defeat with a goal by Josef Divíšek from a set piece.
