Prague – BPA sport marketing a.s. announced a tender for selected media rights to the hockey extraliga for the 2023/24 to 2027/28 seasons. These include television rights. BPA, which is the exclusive marketing partner of the Association of Professional Ice Hockey Clubs (APK LH), informed about this in a press release.

Starting today, those interested in the selection process will strive to obtain various so-called media rights packages, which are divided into a total of five categories. They can apply until March 3. After the bidding and evaluation phase, participants will be informed about the result of the selection process no later than April 28. This will be followed by negotiations with successful bidders on detailed business conditions and the signing of contractual documentation.

“We believe that with this transparent selection process we will ensure a high-quality presentation of the extraleague of ice hockey, its partners and financial resources to fulfill our obligations to APK LH for assignment of rights,” said Jana Obermajerová, chairwoman of the board of directors of BPA.

Currently, the public Czech Television and the paid channel O2 TV Sport share the television broadcasts of extraleague matches. Their current contracts are valid until the end of the current year.

This season, BPA is the exclusive marketing partner of the hockey extraleague for the 28th year, and based on the winning tender and the concluded contract with APK, it will hold this position for the next five seasons as well , i.e. until the end of the year 2027/28. APK took over the management of the competition before the start of the played season back after ten years when the extra league was managed by the Czech Ice Hockey Association (ČSLH).
