The inauguration will take place on Thursday March 9 at 2 p.m. in the Vladislav Hall at Prague Castle. At a joint meeting of the upper and lower chambers of the Parliament, Pavel will take the presidential oath and replace Miloš Zeman in office. The new head of state takes the oath in the hands of the President of the Senate, at the time of his renunciation he should have his hand placed on a copy of the Constitution of the Czech Republic.
