On a visit at the automotive supplier Valeo in Etaples (Pas-de-Calais), Emmanuel Macron, presented on Tuesday a plan to support the automotive industry, focused on innovation and the production of clean vehicles on the French territory.
The president of the Republic, moreover, has not hidden his ambition to make France ” the first nation producer of vehicles in Europe “, announcing a program of investments as well as commitments in the sense of the part of the manufacturers – PSA and relocated, for example, a part of its value-added production in the country.
In the meantime, the automotive industry, which affects 400 000 direct jobs, has suffered the brunt of the health crisis, finding themselves almost at a halt, with a decline in sales of 80 % in April compared to 2019.
Premium to the outstanding conversion
Some 400 000 vehicles are unsold and the support of the application is part of the car plan. The French must buy new cars and must do so quickly.
In this regard, a premium to the outstanding conversion will be implemented from the 1st June, for the purchase of a diesel car or gasoline last generation, electric or hybrid, new or used.
This premium will be€ 3,000 per vehicle, 5000€ in the case of the purchase of an electric car. Three-quarters of the French should be eligible. But be careful, it will be limited in number of units since it will only be about 200 000 first purchases.
Adds for motorists looking to buy a clean car to a strengthening of the bonus green. It will be of 7000€ for individuals,€ 5,000 to businesses and local authorities for the purchase of an electric vehicle, 2000€ for a engine plug-in hybrid.
Emmanuel Macron has not however provided details on any conditions, the price of the car, for example.
