The Hellenic Cultural Center, in alliance with the Los Pinos Cultural Complex, has made available to the public five fascinating plays that can be seen from home.

This initiative seeks to bring minors closer to various aesthetic expressions — puppets, object theater, oral tradition and folklore—, taking them through a colorful mosaic, a taste of what national dramaturgy can offer, a sample of our customs and culture.

Thus, the stories to enjoy will be the following:

The sunset of Paquimé: in this setting, a group of friendly puppets will take us through the decline of a civilization, which at one time was majestic. Now, the head of that place must find a way to preserve his beautiful red city, even by transforming the way its inhabitants act. This work can be seen until April 11.

Don Quixote, walking stories: Here, a man named Aldonza will remind us of the unique philosophy of the Knight of the Sad Figure, and as he does so, multiple objects will come to life to represent the unique Cervantes. You can see this show until April 12.

Root woman: a bus accident triggers a girl to become aware of all the emotions that flood her, and she begins to question why all the women in her town, including her mother, seem to constantly repress those feelings and their independence. Enjoy this story until April 13.

Girls of war: a little girl flees from the war that is raging in her town, seeking refuge in a place called “Nopasanada”, but there she finds indifference and rejection, until Luisa and her wise grandmother offer her their friendship, and the complicity so that the rest of the people accept Vera, the refugee girl. This staging will be available until April 14.

One day I sounded like Curicaveri: Through the oral tradition of the Purépecha culture, this work tells us about the respect we owe to nature. A dream trip where we will meet Tariacuri, a child who one day wakes up at the beginning of time, where nothing existed, and meets Cueraj’peri, the creator Goddess. This story can be seen until April 15.

These works are already available on the channel Hellenic YouTube, as well as on the platform “With you in the distance”. Do not let them pass, as they will remain for a few days.
