The opposition announced on Monday an agreement to censor 13 commission tables in the Chamber of Deputies, < /strong>after reaching an agreement between the parties of Chile Vamos, Partido de la Gente and the Republican Party.
The announcement was made by the Evópoli deputy, Francisco Undurraga, who indicated that there was a change in the political forces and they want to exercise the majority, to transfer the command of some commissions.
“We have reached an agreement between the PDG, the Republican Party, RN, the UDI and Evópoli. We have the votes to censure 13 commissions”, said Undurraga.
“We believe that the political forces have changed and from that point of view we are going to exercise democracy and we are going to transfer the command of the commissions to this new political force that went against President Mirosevic in the previous elections”, added the legislator.
The situation was confirmed by the RN, Andrés Longton, assured that this change will generate a balance between the priorities of the Government and those of the opposition.
“There are 13 commissions that will ultimately generate a better balance regarding to the priorities that the government has -which have been few up to now- and what we believe should be the priorities that this Congress should have, which go hand in hand with what is happening today in the country: insecurity without precedents, people who are living with the just from day to day and many crises from a social point of view, which unfortunately (…) have not been addressed in the different commissions”, said Longton
