Tuesday, June 2, 2020, the singer Chris Trousdale died from complications of the coronavirus. Ex-member of the boy band Dream Street, the young man was 34 years old when the disease has prevailed.
Fans of boy band american will remember him as a true performer… Ex-member of Dream Street, Chris Trousdale died from complications of the coronavirus at the age of 34 years. According to american website TMZ, the singer died Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at the hospital in Burbank, California. On his account of Instagram, a spokesperson has confirmed : “It is with heavy hearts that we confirm the death of Chris Trousdale June 2, 2020. It was a light to many people and he will be greatly missed by his family, his friends and his fans around the world. Although you may have the impression that it belonged to all of us, the family asks that you respect their privacy in this time of grieving. If you want to make a donation in his honor, please do so to the ASPCA (Association for Prevention of Animal Cruelty).“
In 1999, the singer had gained notoriety by incorporating the boy band Dream Street, which was composed of Gregory Raposo, Matthiew Ballinger, Frank Galasso, and Jesse McCartney. If the teens had released a self-titled album, this is the soundtrack of the film “The Biggest Fan, to be broadcast on the Disney Channel that had propelled it to the rank of stars. Only three years after its creation, the group was, however, separated in 2002 due to a lawsuit by their producer.

On his account Instagram, Jesse McCartney, a former member of the boy band couldn’t hide his sorrow on learning of the death of his friend. He explained : “This made me evil to say that an old friend, Chris Trousdale, of my beginnings in the music industry died because of complications of the COVID-19. Chris had a personality explosively charming and had many qualities.” With nostalgia, the singer recalls : “Together, we were two of the five members of a boy band called Dream Street. We were young kids with talent who shared an immense love for the music and the show. Chris, according to me, was the most popular among us, he managed to attract all eyes when he was on stage. As a dancer incredibly trained, he learned of the dance numbers in a few minutes, while it took days. I envied really as an artist.”
Visibly moved, the former star of the series Summerland has continued : “We were part of something that people have never been able to experience of a lifetime at the age of 12 and 14 years old. Although we have been a group for only three years, at this age, it seemed like a lifetime, and we have built a true brotherhood. During the following years, we separated when our lives took different paths, but I often think back to our beginnings and how much of it was exciting.” Jesse McCartney concluded his message by addressing a few words to the mother of Chris Trousdale : “My sincere condolences go out to his mother that I know very well. RIP Chris. I will never forget your smile.“
