Varese (Italy) – Double sculls Jan Cincibuch, Jakub Podrazil successfully entered the second race of the Rowing World Cup in Varese. In its first start of the season, the Czech crew took second place in the heat and advanced to Saturday's semi-finals.
The skier Anna Šantrůčková, who was third in the heat and had to complete a correction ride in the afternoon, is also in the semi-finals. The twenty-two-year-old Czech representative won and advanced to the top twelve. Skipper Tomáš Šišma, who first progressed to the quarter-finals, but finished fifth and awaits him in the C/D final, failed.
The last Czech crew that presented itself in Italy – the men's eight – graduated due to the small number of registered boats test heat, in which she was sixth. Jan Chlebovský, Martin Sedlák, Jan Koška, Kryštof Hruška, Jan Tiché, Vít Baldinus, Tomáš Zobal, Matouš Dočekal and coxswain Barbora Zelenková will face the final on Sunday.
