Varese (Italy) – Double sculls Jan Cincibuch, Jakub Podrazil successfully entered the second race of the Rowing World Cup in Varese. In its first start of the season, the Czech crew took second place in the heat and advanced to Saturday's semi-finals.

The skier Anna Šantrůčková, who was third in the heat and had to complete a correction ride in the afternoon, is also in the semi-finals. The twenty-two-year-old Czech representative won and advanced to the top twelve.
