The Val-d'Or multisport center, where evacuees from several neighboring communities of the city are directed.
Classes are suspended on Monday for students of the La Concorde Secondary School, Center La Concorde and Polyvalente Le Carrefour.
This decision was made due to the presence of evacuees in these three establishments.
However, classes will normally be offered to elementary students in Le Tremplin and Le Transit secondary schools as well as in the general adult education centers L'Horizon and Le Trait-d'Union and at the Center de formation professionnelle Val-d'Or.
According to the Center de services scolaire de l'Or et des Bois, there are approximately 750 people evacuated from Lac-Simon, Kitcisakik and Lebel-sur-Quévillon as well as the areas of Louvicourt, Lake Wyeth, Lake Gueguen, Lake Matchi-Manitou and Lake Villebon.
