A new title… without finishing the season. Convened by the board of directors, Thursday, April 30, the professional football League (LFP) announced the final stop of the season 2019-2020 League 1 and League 2, shortened a dozen meetings by the epidemic of Covid-19. The LFP has decided to allocate the title of champion of France in Ligue 1 at PSG, the third in a row for the capital club. Behind the PSG, Olympique de Marseille finished second on the season and will, therefore, qualified for the champions League.
The LFP seems to favour the ranking which takes into account all matches, including those of the 28th day, which was not complete. If this scenario (which should be formally adopted in mid-may) is well accepted, the tennis Stadium would be in 3rd Lille 4th, Reims 5th Nice 6th. Olympique lyonnais, for 7th place, would not be qualified, in the state, for the Europa League, unlike the three previous clubs. The two teams that were relegated in League 2 would be Amiens (19th), and Toulouse (20th). The first two of League 2, respectively, Lorient and Lens, would be them promoted to League 1.
