There are 655 new cases of Covid-19 in Lombardy, compared to 50,400 swabs carried out, of which 1.2% was positive. In the last 24 hours, 6 people have died, bringing the total number of deaths in the region since the beginning of the pandemic to 33,943. Inpatients are growing: in intensive care there are 55 patients, 1 more than yesterday; in 386 ordinary Covid wards, 2 more than 24 hours ago.
There are 372 new coronavirus infections in Lazio according to today’s bulletin, 8 September. Also recorded 2 other deaths. Infections in Rome are 160. “Out of 12,206 molecular swabs and 10,342 antigen tests for a total of 22,548 tests, 372 new positive cases (+18) and 2 deaths (-3) are recorded; 466 hospitalized (-15) , 64 intensive care (-1) and 828 cured. There are 877 coronavirus infections registered in Sicily today, 8 September 2021, according to Covid-19 data in the Region’s bulletin. The dead are 29, but the Region makes it known that only one refers to today: 7 occurred yesterday, 14 on 6 September, two on 5 September, three on 3 September and two on 2 September. 1,379 patients discharged or recovered. On the island, which ranks first in Italy in terms of number of infections, the positives are 28,016 – 531 fewer than yesterday – and of these 823 are hospitalized in the ordinary regime, 116 in intensive care (6 new entries) and 27,077 are in isolation domiciliary.
There are 337 new coronavirus infections in Emilia Romagna today, 8 September 2021, according to Covid-19 data in the Region’s bulletin. 29,057 swabs performed in the last 24 hours (1.2%). There are 8 deaths which bring the total number of victims, since the beginning of the epidemic, to 13,396. The number of patients admitted to intensive care was unchanged compared to yesterday (45); those in the other Covid departments are down (-7), which are currently 403. The average age of new positives today is 39.2 years.
There are 264 coronavirus infections in Piedmont today, 8 September 2021, according to the covid-19 data of the region’s bulletin. One dead recorded.
In detail, the 264 new cases of people who tested positive for Covid-19 (of which 25 after antigen tests) are equal to 1.5% of 17,711 swabs performed, of which 12,123 antigenic. Of the 264 new positives, 116 were asymptomatic (43.9%).
There are 23 hospitalized in intensive care (unchanged compared to yesterday). Patients not in intensive care are 176 (-2 compared to yesterday). There are 3,528 people in home isolation. A total of 362,960 patients recovered (+272 compared to yesterday).
FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA
There are 240 coronavirus infections in Friuli Venezia Giulia today, 8 September 2021, according to the covid-19 data of the region’s bulletin. One dead recorded. In detail, 218 new infections were detected on 5,528 molecular swabs (including 7 migrants / asylum seekers, 6 in the Trieste area and one in Udine) with a positive percentage of 3.94%.
There are also 3,981 rapid antigenic tests performed from which 22 cases (0.55%) were detected. The number of people hospitalized in intensive care has dropped to 12 and 51 are hospitalized in other wards. Overall, the deaths amounted to 3,808
As far as the regional health system is concerned, a dietician and 3 nurses from the Giuliano Isontina University Healthcare Unit, a doctor from the Central Friuli University Healthcare Company and a social health worker from the Western Friuli Healthcare Company were found to be positive. With regard to residential facilities for the elderly, 8 infections were recorded among operators in the areas of Trieste, Udine and Pordenone and 19 guests in the Trieste area.
There are 218 new coronavirus infections in Sardinia according to today’s bulletin, 8 September. Also recorded 2 other deaths. 3,811 people tested and 12,730 tests processed, including molecular and antigenic ones. The deaths concern a 77-year-old man residing in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari and an 85-year-old man residing in the Province of Southern Sardinia. Patients admitted to intensive care units are 28 (2 fewer than yesterday), 226 (6 fewer than yesterday) in the medical area. There are 5,736 people in home isolation (-293 compared to yesterday).
There are 123 new coronavirus infections in Abruzzo according to today’s bulletin, 8 September. On the other hand, there are no new deaths. The new cases are between the ages of 1 and 90 and bring the total from the beginning of the emergency to 79,785. In the total was also included a case dating back to the past few weeks and previously not reported. The death toll of patients does not register new cases and remains stable at 2,534. The number of positive cases also includes 75,061 discharged / healed (+98 compared to yesterday). This was communicated by the Regional Health Department.
The currently positives in Abruzzo (calculated by subtracting the number of discharged / cured and deceased from the total of positives) are 2190 (+26 compared to yesterday), the total also includes 422 cases concerning patients lost to follow up since the beginning of emergency, on which checks are underway. 80 patients (-3 compared to yesterday) hospitalized in the medical area; 6 (unchanged compared to yesterday) in intensive care, while the other 2104 (+29 compared to yesterday) are in home isolation with active surveillance by the ASL. In the last 24 hours, 2795 molecular swabs were performed (1351810 in total since the start of the emergency) and 3552 antigen tests (736701). The positivity rate, calculated on the sum of molecular swabs and antigen tests of the day, is equal to 1.93 percent.
