To promote the last chapter of the fifth season of Rick and morty, which will be released today, Adult Swim shared a live action version of this cartoon, with Christopher Lloyd in the role of the mad scientist, and Jaeden Lieberher in charge of the young grandson. However, originally, Morty’s role was intended for Daniel Radcliffe, that’s right, Harry Potter himself.

Recently, Jason DeMarco, senior vice president of action and anime with Warner Media and the co-creator of Toonami, shared a message of congratulations on Twitter for the people involved in this live action. On your own account, DeMarco noted that Radcliffe was considered for the role of Morty., but the actor turned down this position. This was what he commented:

“I originally wanted Daniel Radcliffe as Morty, because I know he’s a huge fan, but (wisely) he turned us down. A wise man. It was an idea that sounded good on paper, but it wouldn’t have worked at all. “

At the moment there is no detailed explanation from Radcliffe about his decision, especially considering that he is a fan of Rick and morty. Similarly, DeMarco points out that this was a wise decision and, although he does not offer more information, it surely refers to the age of the actor, and the fact that Harry Potter’s keeper is no longer old enough to play a child.

The last episode of the fifth season of Rick and morty premieres today, September 5, and here you can see the new trailer full of spoilers. In the same way, here is the live action promo of the series.
