Nové Město na Moravě (Ždársko) – For Markéta Davidová, the final mixed relay at the World Cup in Nové na Moravě was already challenging. The twenty-six-year-old biathlete showed fatigue from the demanding program and the third race in three days. In the second section, she took the team from 11th to 8th place, and the Czechs ended up seventh after Michal Krčmár's penalty round. The eighth woman of the series was again thrilled by the atmosphere and told reporters that she is already looking forward to a similar backdrop at next year's home World Cup.

“It was difficult today. My legs are already tired and I was fed up. It's quite challenging that we raced yesterday at four and today at eleven,” said Davidová.
The athlete from Janov nad Nisou won in the Vysočina Arena and 16th place in the sprint and eighth in the pursuit race. Although she did not reach the third medal this season, she gave her best.
“Mainly thanks to the spectators, we all enjoyed it here. I believe that they forgave us even some results that were not according to our expectations. You could see how everyone was enjoying the atmosphere. It can't be any other way when the spectators are pushing you everywhere. The fans can to be sure that we left everything here and tried to give the best possible performance so that they would be happy,” Davidová recounted.
After the interviews, the Czech representative took autograph cards from her backpack and handed them out to the waiting fans. She also completed joint photography. The atmosphere was a big attraction for her until next season, when the World Championships will be held in Nové Město na Moravá.
“Maybe next year it won't be as enjoyable, but under stress, because it will be a top event. On the other hand , if the spectators are as great as they are now, it will be a lot better,” added the world champion from the endurance race in 2021.
On Monday, the biathletes are already waiting to fly to Östersund, Sweden, where the penultimate race will take place from Thursday part of the World Cup. The season culminates a week later in Oslo. “The program is really demanding. We won't sleep again. Since there is also an endurance race on the program, the batch of kilometers will be a bit bigger. It will be quite a purgatory,” Davidová added.
