Djokovic returned to the lead after his triumph at the Australian Open in January. He succeeded in Melbourne for the tenth time and, together with Spaniard Rafael Nadal, shares the record for the number of Grand Slam triumphs with 22 titles.

After that, the 35-year-old Djokovic took a break and should return to the courts next week at the tournament in Dubai. He has won five titles in the United Arab Emirates in the past, his last success there three years ago.
