US President Joe Biden. March 3, 2023.
Washington – Last month, doctors removed a lesion on US President Joe Biden's chest during a small operation, and a biopsy later revealed that it was cancer. The White House informed about it today. According to the medical report, it was a so-called basal cell carcinoma, which is a malignant skin tumor that grows slowly, can be easily removed and does not metastasize.

The lesions were discovered by doctors during a routine checkup in mid-February, White House physician Kevin O'Connor said today. According to him, they then removed it completely, no further treatment is needed at this time. But Biden will be monitored regularly by a dermatologist.
Basalioma, or basal cell carcinoma, is the most common but least aggressive type of skin cancer.
After a regular medical check-up, doctors concluded in February that 80-year-old Biden is healthy and he is in a condition that enables him to exercise his office.
