By the end of this year, the developer plans to obtain a building permit, construction is to begin next year. Estimated completion date is 2027.

“Our goal is not only to build a residential complex that will be depopulated during the day and people will only return to it in the evening. Both planned blocks will be multifunctional so that people can find everything they need in them. From shops and services to doctors' surgeries. In block B, there will be a green piazzetta with gardens of cafes and bistros,” described the founder of Domoplan, Tomáš Vavřík.

The form of the two residential blocks was designed by the architectural studio Pelčák and partner. “The corner high-rise building with 20 floors creates, together with the dormitory building of the FN Brno, the motif of a gate that characterizes the entrance to the city. It also offers beautiful views in all directions, which is exceptional. This is one of the few places in Brno where it was possible to build such a tall building.” stated Pelčák.

There will be 328 apartments with balconies or loggias and 81 studios in the entire area. Prices will range from 90,000 to 105,000 crowns per square meter. In addition, the developer wants to supplement the accommodation options with 90 accommodation units for students. These will be rented out by the developer in a similar way to the Domeq residences. “The student units have an area of about 16 square meters, they are about 2.5 meters wide with a small kitchen. They are close to the rooms in the student dormitory. These units include a large social area where students can spend time together,” described Vavřík. He stated that these accommodation units can also serve the elderly. The developer is considering that he could introduce so-called co-housing of seniors and young people.

The whole project tries to make maximum use of green technologies. It will retain rainwater in retention tanks. The green roofs will be complemented by photovoltaics and heat pumps on the higher floors, which will help with cooling in the summer.

Originally, the complex was supposed to include a kindergarten, but the city preferred a financial contribution from the developer and will build the kindergarten on its own of land. As deputy mayor René Černý (ANO) told journalists, the kindergarten should be completed at the same time as the residential complex.

In total, up to 1,000 people are expected to find housing in the Brixx project.
