José Luis Rodríguez receives the award on April 15 at a gala in which ‘El Puma’ will present some of the successes of his brilliant musical career of more than six decades, that of a “legendary artist who transcends times and generations, staying current ”, which has earned him the recognition of the American Music Awards.
Six decades in which ‘El Puma’ has published more than 60 albums, from his debut in 1961 with ‘Los Zeppy’, to his most recent ‘Agradecido’ in 2019, and has participated in dozens of films and soap operas, for a time in which he has created a unique style with which he has conquered his followers thanks to songs such as ‘Guilty I am’, ‘Dueño de ti’, ‘Pavo real’ or ‘Hold on to your hands’.
