Abu Dhabi – Today, during his visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala discussed cooperation in energy, the development of modern technologies, cybernetics and education with the country's President Muhammad bin Zayd Nahaján. They also talked about the planned opening of the UAE embassy in Prague and the visit of a trade delegation. Fiala informed about it on Facebook.

“The UAE is, along with Israel, our largest trading partner in the Middle East,” Fiala wrote. “A business delegation (from the UAE) will visit the Czech Republic, which will discuss business cooperation on specific projects and investments,” added the prime minister. According to Fiala, mutual student exchanges between the Czech Republic and the UAE are also planned.
Fiala also visited the IDEX arms fair today and welcomed the signing of a contract between the Czech arms company Excalibur Army and Resource Industries from the UAE for the supply of 200 vehicles on Tatra chassis. The holding Czechoslovak Group, of which Excalibur is a part, already informed about the deal for 77 million euros (1.8 billion CZK) on Tuesday. 30 companies from the Czech defense industry are presenting themselves at the IDEX fair.
