Warsaw – Czech government military aid to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion amounts to ten billion crowns, weapons for another 30 billion crowns sent to the attacked country by the defense industry. Prime Minister Petr Fiala said this after today's meeting in Warsaw. According to him, the Czech Republic also provided Ukraine with 89 tanks. Fiala recalled that the Czech Republic was among the first to provide weapons to Ukraine for defense against the Russian invasion and motivated other countries with its stance.

In the list of military aid from the funds of the Czech state and commercial entities to Ukraine, Fiala mentioned 226 armored vehicles and 39 howitzers in addition to tanks. According to him, roughly a third of these deliveries come from army warehouses.
“The first delivery organized by us took place already 14 days after the start of the invasion, and with that we showed others that it is possible and that it is the right way, ” said Fiala.
Today in Warsaw, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic attended a meeting between US President Joe Biden and representatives of the so-called Bucharest Nine, which brings together NATO countries from Central and Eastern Europe. In the final declaration, the leaders called for the strengthening of NATO's presence on its eastern flank, expressed support for Ukraine's efforts to integrate into Euro-Atlantic structures, and emphasized the determination to defend “every inch” of the alliance's territory.
