However, they have already reduced the special level of the fire alarm to the third level and should further reduce it to the second level by the morning, Vladimíra Kereková, spokeswoman for the central Bohemian fire department, told ČTK at 10:00 p.m. The cause of the fire will not be known until the next few days, as investigators cannot yet enter the fire scene, the fire department said on the website.

Firefighters went to the fire in U Borovin Street in the premises of the Kovošrot Group company before noon. An area 20 by 30 meters up to a height of five floors was on fire. First 16 and later 20 firefighting units fought the flames, a total of 32 tankers were on the scene. “The location was reported at 19:21,” said Kereková. Video footage was posted by firefighters on twitter.
The demanding intervention will continue even at night. Therefore, the firefighters also provided large-capacity tanks from firefighters from other parts of the Central Bohemian Region, as well as a sufficient number of lighting balloons. Some units of volunteer firefighters went home for the night. “Everyone should meet there again at five in the morning,” Kereková pointed out.
According to Monika Nováková, the spokeswoman for the rescue service, there were two injured people on the scene, one was taken to the Kladno hospital by paramedics, the other remained on the spot after treatment. Kereková specified that they were volunteer firefighters. The ban on ventilation was not issued, the limits of dangerous substances were not exceeded, said Vít Heral, the spokesperson of the Kladno town hall.
A chemical laboratory arrived on the scene, which measures the amount of pollutants in the air, not only directly near the fire, but also in a radius of several kilometers. “The chemical laboratory was on a detour again in the evening, and again it didn't measure anything. However, after an agreement with the municipality, people were advised not to open the windows,” said Kereková around 7:30 p.m.
Smoke was visible today at least ten kilometers from Positive. The fire is not in a residential building. According to Kereková, no special measures have been announced for the residents of Kladno.
“We are in contact with the hygiene station and the fire brigade, a ban has not yet been issued to open windows, however citizens are advised not to ventilate, especially in Kročehlavy. It is also recommended do not go out near the fire. According to the laboratory investigation, no limits of hazardous substances were exceeded, however, both recommendations apply,” informed the spokesperson of the town hall.
