The Fischers had a good start. In the first round, she decided only in the last goal against the water, but in the quarter-finals and semi-finals she led from start to finish. In the final, she was not far from victory, but the final meters belonged to Woods.
“I fought until the last moment. Only after the roller did it become clear to me that Kim was there, so I just looked back and saw that I finished in second position. I think that after the long program it's a great result,” said Fišerová journalists. The second Czech representative in the elimination heats, Amálie Hilgertová, was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
Swiss Dimitri Marx dominated the men's race in Troja. Local kayaker Vít Přindiš, who won second place in the individual race behind Jiří Prskavec on Friday, lost a close fight for the semi-finals. It wasn't until the finish photo that the German Noah Regge took the advanced second place in the quarter-finals at his expense. He took advantage of more favorable waves. “I felt that he overtook me. It was better for him and at the finish line I felt that he was a bit ahead of me. That was a shame,” Přindiš regretted.
He mainly did not want to get injured in kayakcross. He did not suffer any damage during the fights on the track, but today brought him some scars. After qualifying, he didn't quite manage to get the boat ashore. “When I was throwing her over my shoulder, I stepped on the water with my foot, so I flew on my back with the boat into the water and scraped my leg. So I've got a bump on my ass and a scraped leg,” he smiled.
In the first elimination round, Jakub Krejčí, who advanced from the qualification in sixth place, was eliminated. He made a mistake on the third gate, and even though he pushed his way to second place, the referees did not recognize his pass and sent him to fourth place.
