This new mission to our country by professionals from the Agricultural Credit of Habilitation (CAH) of Paraguay, which will run until November 26, is part of the cooperation agreement for the “Deepening of the processes of Financial Inclusion of the CAH for small rural producers of Family Farming in the Republic of Paraguay”, tripartite agreement signed by Paraguay, Chile and Japan and in operation since 2015.

In the framework of the visit of Paraguayan professionals from the Crédito Agrícola de Habilitación (CAH), the foreign delegation -accompanied by professionals from the Institute for Agricultural Development (Indap)-, will tour the Maule region.

This technical tour includes meetings with managers and professionals from Indap, who will present on the institutional programs of promotion of small-scale agriculture, its instruments such as Productive Alliances, Public Procurement and the processes of normalization of portfolio and collections.

On his first day in Chile, the national director of Indap, Santiago Rojas , highlighted the collaboration link that promotes this agreement, allowing the institution’s 60-year experience to be transferred, through the delivery of specialized technical advice and the granting of credits.

“We are advancing with the CAH of Paraguay: first in financial inclusion and credits; Now market issues will be addressed and as Indap we have significant experience in this. It is important to share and review it in order to be critical of what we do and improve,” the authority detailed.

Rojas added that “we are open to collaborating with Latin America and the rest of the world, and also learn from other experiences. If one country advances, another advances, and if it is together it is faster. This way we can move towards development, particularly sustainable development.”

For her part, Clara Domínguez, CAH Planning Manager, highlighted the importance of this agreement.

“This new stage of the project advances from enabling and strengthening financial inclusion towards deepening marketing and alliances with the market. We look at all of Indap’s experience to take it to Paraguay and, according to our possibilities, apply it”, declared Domínguez.
