It was the president of Andalusia, Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla, who announced it this Wednesday, February 22, after meeting with Manuel Abud (CEO of the Latin Recording Academy and Eva Cebrián, vice-president of the Board of Directors of the Academy.
“It is with deep satisfaction and great pride that I can announce that Andalucía will host the Latin Grammys this year. It is the first time that this event has left the United States, where it has been held every year since the first edition”, highlighted Bonilla.

The Andalusian president elaborated that the organizers of the Latin Grammys would be the responsible for selecting the final venue for the event, but did not rule out that Seville could be an option.
“Seville meets more than enough requirements,Firstly, because it has a very close link with the entire Latin world, we have always had super-close relations, and Seville is also used to organizing big events, from the EXPO to top-level sporting events”, commented Moreno Bonilla.
< p class="paragraph">Thus, although some more details still need to be disclosed about which province will be chosen for the award ceremony to take place, Antonio Muñoz, mayor of Seville, highlighted from his Twitter account that this site was ready and profiled to host the award if considered.

According to Manuel Moreno, the ceremony will take place in November 2023, but the exact date has not been revealed either.
“That the Latin Grammys are leaving the United States for the first time is cause for special celebration and what better place to celebrate them than Andalusia”, said Manuel Abud, general director of the Latin Recording Academy, during the announcement.
