Samsung is aware of the problem with the Galaxy Chromebook and is working on a fix, many reports suggest it has too poor battery life.
According to Sammobile, Samsung’s Chromebook model is considered one of the most impressive laptop designs. The product has a beautiful aluminum body, a 4K OLED touch screen that meets DisplayHDR 400 standard, and “breaks” the Macbook Pro. However, its battery life is a critical weakness. Reviews show that it’s only about half of what Samsung announced.
Most Galaxy Chromebook reviews praised the great design and screen, but the battery life was poor. Samsung has received these comments and is working with Google to find out why. It is unclear how they will fix it, but a software update may be released soon.

A very potential cause could be the chipset. The machine uses Intel Core i5 10210U, has a TPD of 15W. Most other Chromebooks on the market only use Y-series chip with TPD 5W only. Besides, 4K screen is also considered the culprit causing battery drain. With brightness in some situations reaching 700 nit, it consumes a lot of energy.
Starting price for Samsung laptops is $ 1,000, so users can completely consider to Windows laptops of the same level. If Samsung does not find a way to solve the battery drain problem on the Galaxy Chromebook, it can completely die despite the impressive design and screen.
