Playable on smartphones, on Smart TV or even through a web browser, Google, Stadia has its own game controller. A wireless controller… but it is necessary, however, to connect to a PC via a USB cable in order to play. Today, Google is not a little proud to announce that the wireless connection is (finally !) available.
The game wireless available on PC
“Starting this week, you can now use the thumb Stadia to play wireless on your laptop and desktop computer. You no longer need to physically connect your controller Stadia to your computer to play your favorite games. “Great news for the players, who will be able to (re)find all the comfort provided by a controller that is wireless.
However, Google has not indicated any information about using the controller wirelessly with a smartphone. In fact, since its launch in last November, Google Stadia lets you use the controller dedicated on a smartphone… provided you connect it to the smartphone via a USB cable. Only the Chromecast Ultra allowed until now to play without any cables.
Bear in mind that Google Stadia opened recently to smartphones OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. The service has also been optimized with the integration of Google Assistant, and the latter now allows you to run games, via a voice command on Android as on ChromeOS. For some, this is yet another proof of the launch premature Stadia, for others, it is yet another proof of the support without fault on the part of Google with respect to its offer gaming.
