The wait is over: after more than a year compared to the return to the scheduled calendar in May 2020 before the outbreak of the pandemic, the Zandvoort will return to host an F1 Grand Prix that has been missing since 1985. Max Zandvoort will finally be able to race in front of the home crowd on a renewed track thanks to the work of the Italian Dromo di Jarno Zaffelli that our Federico Albano has analyzed in detail exclusively.

Great curiosity obviously around the two banked curves which on paper will allow the pilots different trajectories to score overtaking maneuvers. The Zandvoort circuit is certainly technical, but also categories such as F3, Formula Renault Eurocup and DTM in the past have always struggled enormously in being able to overtake, because the starting straight that leads to the legendary Tarzan corner since the track has been shortened is very short. The overpass that precedes it will allow the drivers to open the DRS even when cornering and therefore to approach the car in front before braking for the first 180 ° bend to the right.

Max Verstappen will appear in front of the home crowd with three points to recover against Lewis Hamilton. The track is decidedly tortuous and on paper it should favor the RB16-B, but the Ferrari SF21 could also surprise. Pay attention to the weather: on the Sunday of the race, the probability of rain currently stands at 65%. The event will be broadcast live on Sky Sport F1, while in clear on TV8 Qualifying and Race will be broadcast on a deferred basis. On FormulaPassion.it as always you will find the direct written of all the sessions. Below are the details of the television programming and the characteristics of the circuit. Along with F1, Formula 3 will also be involved in Zandvoort.
