Despite the flop of its first model launched in 2019, Samsung is not about to abandon smartphones foldable. In the beginning of the year, the Korean manufacturer has launched the Galaxy Z Flip, smartphone foldable clamshell. And since a few weeks, the rumors about the next smartphone foldable Samsung are already on the canvas.
In addition to a Galaxy of Fold 2, which would be the successor to the Galaxy Fold launched last year, Samsung could also launch a model that could be called “Galaxy Fold e” or ” Galaxy Fold Lite “. This last one would be a smartphone foldable more affordable, the price of which the United States could be around $ 1,100.
New information about the smartphone foldable most affordable of Samsung ?
This week, after having mentioned the existence of the Galaxy Fold Lite or Fold e, the Twitter account of Max Winebach published in a series of tweets the possible technical characteristics of the device. According to the report, the Galaxy Fold Lite would have a plastic screen, not glass UTG as the Galaxy Z Flip, and would be equipped with a mixture of components, 2018, 2019, and 2020. The screen would likely be smaller than that of the Galaxy Fold. And although this device has a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 (the processor of the high-end smartphone of 2020), the Galaxy Fold Lite would not support the networks 5G. Tweets of Max Winebach also indicate that the Fold Lite would have a RAM memory of 256 Gb.
-No 5G support
-Built out of Aluminium and Glass on outside
This could change as this info tends to change quickly, especially when it's the first you're hearing about a device.

Of course, even if this source is a source which is fairly regularly relayed by the media, this information is for the moment to be considered with caution since they do not originate from Samsung.
In any case, it would be logical that Samsung offers a smartphone foldable more affordable than the Galaxy Fold, but with a similar format. By making some concessions on the technical data sheet, the manufacturer was able to offer the Galaxy Z Flip at a price significantly lower than that of the Galaxy Fold. And this seems to have been the subject of positive feedback.
For the moment, we don’t know when the next smartphone foldable Samsung could get out. But according to some rumors, it is possible that the manufacturer shall present them at the event Unpacked for the Galaxy Note 20 in the month of August.
