Prague – Liberec hockey players won 3:1 in the 3rd game of the preliminaries of the extra league playoff on the ice of Pilsen and took the lead in the series 2:1. The West Bohemians led, but the guests turned the tide. Karlovy Vary beat Olomouc 7:4 in the 2nd match of the preliminary round and leveled the series at 1:1. Jiří Černoch secured the win with a goal and four assists, Petr Koblasa scored a hat trick for the winner.
