Prague – The hockey players of Třinec advanced as the first team from the preliminary round to the quarterfinals of the playoffs. The defending champions won 4:2 in Litvínov and won the series 3:0 for the matches. Liberec won 3:1 in the 3rd game of the preliminary round of the extra league play off on the ice of Pilsen and took the lead in the series 2:1. The West Bohemians led, but the guests turned the tide.
