Prague – Hockey players from Vsetín and Prostějov secured their place in the semi-finals of the first league in the fastest possible time. The Wallachians won the third quarter-final in Pelhřimov over the home team Jihlava 3:2, dominated the series 3:0 and advanced to the top four in the second highest competition for the fourth time in a row. Last year's winner Dukla did not even play a match in the replay of the final.

The Prostějov Jestřábi completed the series in Litoměřice with a 4:1 win. The development in the duel with Poruba was turned around by Zlín, who relegated from the extra league last year after 42 years. After a 2:1 home win, he leads 2:1 in matches. Likewise, the winner of the regular season Třebíč, which defeated Přerov 2:1.
Jihlava, which had already completed the preliminary round of the play-off with Prague's Slavia (2:1 on matches), did not follow up on last year's win against Vsetín in the final 4:2 on the match, nor on three victories out of four duels in the regular season. In Pelhřimov, they took the loss at 8:12, when Miroslav Holec made his mark with a shot from the left circle. In the 16th minute, defender Ondřej Smetana increased the numerical advantage with a shot from the blue line.
In the 52nd minute, Tomáš Harkabus cut a four-on-three power play, but at 55:02 Vít Jonák restored the two-goal lead to the visitors. In 81 seconds, Tomáš Chlubna dramatized the end, but the Wallachians kept a narrow lead.
Jihlava did not make it past the quarter-finals of the first league for the first time since 2013, when they were eliminated by Ústí nad Labem after a 0:4 defeat. Since then, she was at least in the semi-finals, only in the 2017/18 season, she was active in the extra league, and in the 2019/20 season, the play-offs were not played due to the coronavirus pandemic. In the past two years, she was one step away from being among the elite. In 2021, she played for it in the final of the first league with Kladno and last year with the same club in the play-off.
Prostějov celebrated its second consecutive advance to the semi-finals. After two away losses, Litoměřice scored first. At 7:16, Lukáš Válek took advantage of the power play with a shot from the blue line. In the 17th minute, Petr Hašek answered with a shot from the right circle. After 57 seconds of the second half, Jan Slanina turned the situation around in a numerical advantage. In the middle of the third period, David Ostřížek increased the lead and sealed the result with a power play into the empty goal of Vilém Burian.
Zlín took the lead over Poruba in the 9th minute, when captain Pavel Kubiš took advantage of his numerical advantage and scored from the right circle after a pass from Tomáš Pospíšil. Bedřich Köhler secured the lead in 58:15. Tomáš Šoustal took a clean sheet from Daniel Huf 41 seconds before the end, but Ostrava could not do more.
In Přerov, the first goal was expected until the 37th minute, when Daniel Klímek scored from the left circle after a pass from David Tureček. Horácká Třebíč's lead increased 80 seconds before the end of the second period in a power play from a similar position as Klímek's Michal Vodný. In the 56th minute, David Březina gave the home side hope in a power play, but Třebíč defended the win.
