Children could have been saved, but it was not equipment
The fire that engulfed the unauthorised children’s home in Haiti, killing 15 children. About it reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to The Guardian.
The fire broke out in the orphanage managed by the us Christian group that has sparked new controversy over the proliferation of unregistered children’s homes in the poorest country of America.
Two children burned to the ground. Thirteen others died in the hospital due to suffocation.
Rescuers arrived at the scene on motorcycles, they had no oxygen tanks or ambulances required to transport children to the hospital. Children could have been saved, but it does not have the equipment.
Director of the Institute of social security, said the orphanage, which housed about 60 children, has no official permission to work. Only 35 of 754 orphanages in Haiti are legal.
Previously in the United States in Pennsylvania in Erie, there was a fire in a kindergarten, in which killed 5 children, one child was in the hospital with burns.
RBC-Ukraine wrote that in Algeria as a result of fire in the nursing home killed 8 newborns, more than 70 people were evacuated.
