Neighbors of the La Araña neighborhood, in the Álvaro Obregón mayor’s office, denounced that the elevator that the authorities inaugurated on July 10 only works two days a week.
On a tour made by MILLENNIUM this Thursday on Columbus Street, where the funicular is located, the users of the same were lucky to see it work, but it is almost never like that.
“It is very bad service, rest one day and work three or four, depending on maintenance,” he said. Juan Aldama, neighbor of the place.
When the elevator does not work, which is almost always, the neighbors have to climb more than a hundred steps or take a bus.
“We have to go up the stairs or use the escalators that don’t work either,” explained Adán Benítez.
The world’s largest inclined elevator was inaugurated a week ago, but it has only operated intermittently for two days.
