The Israeli resort town of Eilat, the first in the country shut down to enter its territory in connection with the spread of the coronavirus. It is reported by Yedioth News.

According to local authorities, such measures are intended to prevent carriers of the coronavirus in the city and also not to harm local residents and the city’s reputation as a tourist capital of Israel.

In particular, residents are not allowed to move away from home more than 100 meters, taxis are forbidden to carry more than one passenger, and also canceled all mass gatherings and sporting activities.
